“Angels” will be available for pick up in Fellowship Hall after the weekend Masses. This has been a long standing project here at Saint Dennis that serves our local community as well as our own parish community. In years past so many of you have been so very generous with your giving. Our “angels” will be receiving two gifts each – a fun toy to bring delight and laughter and a hat/glove set to keep them cozy warm as the snow starts to fly. Wrapped gifts are due back on the weekend of December 9 – 10.
This event is sponsored by the Women of Saint Dennis but is a success because of YOU! Questions? Call Pat at 239-1219.
The Knights of Council 4586 will be selling homemade pies in Fellowship Hall after all the Masses this weekend, November 18 and 19, just in time for Thanksgiving! Proceeds benefit the seminarians of the diocese.
The 2017 Christmas Pageant will be held on Monday, December 18 at 6:30 pm in the church. We are looking for angels, shepherds, song leaders, and middle school children for speaking parts. Call Lisa at (608) 438-8076.
For many years the parish has mailed care packages to diocesan seminarians and our college students who are living away from Saint Dennis. Our purpose is to let recipients know our parish will keep them in prayer and provide a few treats for those long study sessions.
Contact the Parish Office at (608) 246-5124 or email Jacque at email@example.com with the student’s name and complete address. The deadline for names is Tuesday, November 28. If you would like to donate baked goods or other goodies for the outreach packages let the office know. Packages will be assembled on Monday, December 4.
Family Choir is for parents with their children to raise their voices in leading song once a month at Saint Dennis. Our mission is to involve families to praise God in song as a family in Mass. The children learn how to worship at church with their parents and witness to others through song. Sing at 9:00 am Mass and practice at 8:00 am in the school music room before the scheduled Mass. The 2017 Masses are November 26 and Christmas Eve, December 24 at 4:00 pm (practice time TBA). The 2018 dates are on the fourth Sunday of the month: January 28, February 25, March 25, April 22 and May 27. Interested: Call the Schmidts at (608) 318-2252 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
