Forget yesterday. Ours is a God of second chances, of moving forward, of never-too-late to live a life of meaning.
That was the message from Chris Stefanick during Reboot! Live! at Saint Dennis on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. The founder of Real Life Catholic, he inspires new generations by simplifying and applying the Gospel to everyday life. He is rocking that goal in parishes, national events and “opening acts” for the Pope.
Refreshing in his attack on atheism and his humor about family life, Chris reminded all that they are children of God.
Drawing upon contemporary saints from Saint John Paul II, to fourteen year old Chiara Lubich and the most recently canonized saint, Jose Sanchez del Rio, Stefanick inspired within us our path to holiness.
He brought the evening to a close with his five habits of Holiness. In simple terms they include:
- Love yourself.
- Share your faith.
- Form community.
- Forget yesterday.
“Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow” was how the evening concluded. We offer thanks to God for the blessings our parish received in this celebratory event of 60 years. Check out Chris Stefanick’s work at www.reallifecatholic.com.
